Location: Wednesbury
Rate: £ 27,300 p/a
We are currently looking for an afternoon shift warehouse supervisor to commence work as soon as possible in the Wednesbury area on a temp to perm basis.
Main duties for this role will include supporting the Transport Manager to ensure the safe, smooth and efficient daily management of the CHD Operation to motivate and develop the teams reporting into them and reduce errors and avoidable cost to the business.

Site Visitors
Drivers
Keyholder responsibilities (closing up as and when needed)
Key Duties and responsibilities
· Daily management of core CHD processes; ensuring all goods-in, goods-out, inventory replenishment and cycle count activity is carried out in a timely and accurate manner.
· To provide effective support to the CHD Transport Manager and Assistant Manager to ensure constant improvement in all areas of the operation.
· Daily management, coaching, development and motivation of staff, ensuring all relevant HR policies are followed.
· Company phone holder – contactable by office and warehouse teams.
· Manage communications with service providers and Company stakeholders to ensure agreed targets are met and enquiries are responded to in an accurate and timely manner.
· Ensure all site H&S and MHE checks are completed as required; raising any issues direct to the Transport Manager/Health & Safety Officer as required.
· Preparation and participation in CHD team meetings and planning groups as required.
· Management and reporting on non-inventory assets (Pump trucks, vehicle kit stock, basic vehicle maintenance items etc) to minimise operational disruption and cost.
· Ensuring CHD warehouse process systems are being followed and are correctly updates as and when needed
· Flexibility to ensure coaching and training across both warehouse shifts
· Ensuring stock management/stock takes are completed and reported on a daily basis.
· Ensuring safe loading of vehicles
· Assisting with warehouse team PDC’s
· Assisting with vehicle gatehouse checks
· Assisting management with vehicle maintenance reporting and booking

Essential key skills and qualifications are to include:
A full, clean UK driving licence
A valid Counterbalance licence (proof required)
A minimum of two years warehouse supervisor experience
Good leadership and management skills
Desirable experience:
Previous final mile/Home Delivery experience
This position is an afternoon shift so will be set shift working 1400-2230 Monday to Friday.
This is a temp to perm contract leading to a full time, permanent position with the client after 12 weeks.
