Physical logistics coordinator

Location: Derby

Rate: £ 12.36 p/h

Our valued client based in Derby are currently looking for a full time logistics coordinator on a temp to perm basis for an immediate start.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the logistics industry and ideally in a similar role also. The main role will be to support the Rotatives Facility in the booking in and out of discs / shafts. Raising of batch cards, history cards, selling, basic stock investigations and PPI counting and system transactions and liaising with the customer in day to day running and releasing of parts.
Main duties will include:
- Where applicable, Loading / unloading supply chain Sub-Con and inter-op vehicles (Bodycote, Sunderland, Praxair, MIC, WBD, Annesley, and Adhoc couriers) and signing off appropriate delivery paperwork.
- Where applicable, forklift driving to facilitate loading / unloading / movement of material (up to 5 tonne).
- Booking in Sub-Con items and deliver to the incoming lay down areas.
- Booking out of Sub-Con items on appropriate SAP Release note or despatch note.
- Raising of batch cards, booking marshalling ops and launching kits to the shop floor.
- Raising of batch cards, history cards and the booking of Marshalling ops for rough forgings.
- Where applicable, retrieval and launch of forgings using gantry overhead crane and deliver to shop floor.
- Booking in and put away of material into designated racking area.
- Physically interact with the client to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Interaction with Shop Floor Personnel to ensure material is physically available at point of use for off-site deliveries.
- Sell material according to customer requirements.
- Complete PPI counts and system transactions according to the customer requirements.
Due to the nature of this position and the tasks that will be required, all candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Good standard of written and verbal English language
- Experience in warehouse work and be computer literate
- Must be able to keep up with physical demands
. Hours as follows: Monday 21:00 – 06:00, Tuesday 21:00 – 06:00, Wednesday 21:00 – 06:00, Thursday 21:00 – 06:00 and Friday 21:00 – 03:30. Must be flexible in working hours.
