Electric Vehicle Technician

Location: Lichfield

Rate: £ 34,000-£42,000 p/a

We are working in partnership with a startup company manufacturing niche Electric Vehicles (EV) based on Classic Vehicle designs but utilising all new components and state of the art EV components.

They are recruiting Technicians and Senior Technicians for their Battery Build department, Vehicle assemble and sing off and prototype vehicle design and build

Duties and Responsibilities
We are recruiting Technicians and Senior Technicians for the following duties:
HV Battery Build and sign off
Fault finding and Repair on Vehicle High Voltage and Low Systems
End of Line Production Vehicle HV System Sign off.
Use of latest HV diagnostic equipment
Prototype HV system Desing and build.
Communication with Electrical Engineers and mechanical build technicians.
Working within company and role specific heath and safety requirements
To undertake and assist with other duties within the vehicle build and electrical team as required by yourmanager

Candidate Essential Requirements

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following.
Relevant Electrical Technician qualifications.
Experience of Practical Electrical Engineering in laboratory or workshop environment
Experience of Automotive High Voltage working.
Proficient with Computer based software tools
Good understanding of Electric Vehicle or Hybrid Electric Vehicle Architectures
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and Wiring diagrams
Attention to detail
Ability to work autonomously when required
UK driving Licence
Willing to travel overseas as required.

Candidate Preferred Requirements

It is preferred that candidates will be able to demonstrate the following, however training will be provided where required for the correct candidate.
Experience in vehicle maintenance or manufacturing environment
Valid IMI Electric Vehicle Qualification to Level 2/3 or Level 4 (preferred).

Competitive

Hours
37.5 Hours per week.
Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 4:30pm. 30minute lunchbreak
Friday 8:00am to 2pm with 30 minute break.
